Join Youth Sailing Virginia on June 20, 2026, at scenic Fort Monroe for a celebration of sailing, community, and friendly competition during Summer Sailstice 2026. This public sailing day will feature a One Design Festival, bringing together sailors of all ages and experience levels for a fun, inclusive day on the water.
The festival will showcase a variety of one design classes that actively sail in Hampton Roads, with racing on the protected waters of Mill Creek. Featured boats include Typhoons, J/24s, Viper 640s, Melges 24s, Melges 15s, Hobie Cats, Hampton One Designs, FJs, and 420s—each with separate starts to encourage fair competition, skill-building, and camaraderie.
