Voyagers’ Society of Youth Sailing Virginia
The Voyager’s Society of Youth Sailing Virginia, inc (YSV) is an opportunity for our valued donors to improve YSV’s sustainability in a profound way.
By committing to an annual gift for a period of five years, you are part of a special community furthering YSV’s mission of teaching life skills through sailing.
Through our programming over the years, we have reached close to two thousand youth. In 2022, over 51% of our participants were underserved persons of color and 61% were female. By breaking down common barriers to sailinglack of finances, lack of transportation, and lack of swimming capability — we are reaching a diverse community.
The ultimate purpose of our programming, whether it is High School Racing or any of our Learn to Sail programs, is to provide youth with a safe and structured recreational activity that also teaches valuable life skills and encourages a healthy attitude towards life and self.
