Don’t Miss the Thrilling Phebe King Memorial Regatta at Historic Fort Monroe!

We are delighted to share some thrilling news for the young sailors and sailing enthusiasts in our community! Youth Sailing Virginia will host High School Race Teams from all over the USA for the “silver” national championship for High School Sailboat Racing, also known as the Phebe King Memorial Trophy Regatta.

Date: Saturday and Sunday June 3rd and 4th
Location: Youth Sailing Virginia, Fort Monroe

The Phebe King High School Regatta is an annual event that brings together talented young sailors from various high schools to showcase their skills on the water. Until 2021, this two day regatta was historically hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club. In 2022, Youth Sailing Viriginia was asked to host the event, and it was very successful. This year, we are proud to host the regatta for the second consecutive year at Youth Sailing Virginia, providing the perfect setting for this exciting competition.

We are one of the few venues where the entire race is in view to the many families and friends who travel with the teams. We expect 200 visitors for 2 days of racing!

Get ready to witness the energy and determination as teams from different high schools go head-to-head in thrilling races. The Phebe King High School Regatta not only promotes healthy competition but also encourages sportsmanship and friendship among participants. It provides an opportunity for young sailors to connect with like-minded individuals, forge lasting bonds, and create cherished memories.

We invite you to join us to support these talented high school sailors and witness their remarkable skills firsthand. The regatta promises an action-packed day filled with thrilling races, jubilant celebrations, and an atmosphere of contagious enthusiasm.

Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you to the Phebe King Memorial Regatta for an unforgettable day of sailing excellence and youthful spirit.
